This will be my second year running/hiking/walking the Pikes Peak Ascent. I am totally addicted to running on this mountain. It is weird because prior to November of 2016 I had no real desire to hike up the mountain let alone run portions of the Barr Trail.
I have been training for the 2018 Pikes Peak Ascent since then. In my mind, you are always training for the race. The 2017 race was training for 2018. The race is a huge demand on your body and every bit of exercise you do is preparing you for the race.
