Have you ever had one of those days where your plans do not go as planned? Well, today was one of those days with my training plan for the Pikes Peak Ascent. I partially blame it on daylight savings!!!
I remember the alarm going off at 6 AM and that is it. Next thing I know it is 7:15 AM and we needed to be leaving the house to head out to Incline Club. Since that was not happening I went right back to sleep and woke up at 8:30 AM. I guess my body needed the extra sleep.
So instead of running up Barr Trail today, I decided I would just go to the gym and work on my lower body. See I did not let oversleeping ruin my day of training. Today I did the following exercises:
- Squats
- Inner Thigh
- Outer Thigh
- Calves
- Back
- Swimming
So when your plan does not go as planned, come up with a new plan and stay on track with your training.
